Dr. Piyush Kumar Pareek
Dr. Piyush Kumar Pareek is the Professor and Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, as well as the Intellectual Property Rights Cell, at Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology, Bengaluru. He holds a B.E., M.Tech., Ph.D., and Postdoctoral research degree in Computer Science Engineering, and is a Registered Patent Agent with the Government of India. With over 13 years of academic experience, Dr. Pareek has published over 150 research articles in Scopus-indexed journals and conferences and authored more than 10 textbooks. His innovative work has led to over 25 granted international patents and 50+ filed Indian utility patents.
Dr. Pareek also supervises Ph.D. scholars at multiple prestigious institutions, having guided 12 successful Ph.D. completions, including six from Visvesvaraya Technological University. A Fellow of IETE and Senior Member of IEEE, he actively contributes to several professional organizations and journals, including MDPI Electronics and the Taylor & Francis Book Series. Recognized for his significant contributions to science, he has been listed among the World's Top 2% Scientists for 2024 by Stanford University.

Our flagship initiative is a global Hackathon on Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), designed to inspire students, researchers, and industry professionals to engineer impactful solutions to real-world challenges. This one-of-a-kind hackathon features 17 thematic tracks, each aligned with one of the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals, covering critical areas like clean energy, climate action, quality education, responsible consumption, and more.
